The Problem
Deployable shelters are regularly transported, assembled, dismantled, folded and stored. Over time, their conductive shielding, seams, cable-entry points and environmental barriers can be damaged by punctures, abrasion, moisture, improper assembly or repeated handling. Some of this damage may be difficult to identify through visual inspection alone.

The SignalWatch Concept
A sensing layer built into the shelter.
SignalWatch Deployable would integrate a network of conductive sensing paths and environmental sensors into selected areas of the shelter. The system would establish a known healthy electrical baseline and continuously look for meaningful changes in continuity, resistance or environmental conditions.
When a change is detected, the system would identify the affected panel, seam or entry point and direct maintenance personnel toward the area requiring inspection.
The objective is not to replace formal electromagnetic testing or scheduled maintenance. It is to provide an additional layer of continuous awareness between inspections.
Technical note
Electrical condition measurements are indicators of physical integrity and are not, by themselves, a certification of RF-shielding effectiveness. Formal electromagnetic testing would remain necessary for validation and compliance.
